- INCREASE OF CO2 TAX - 2024 On 1 January 2023, the CO2 tax on energy products will increase by 5 euros per ton CO2 to a total CO2 tax on energy products of 35 euros per ton CO2.

- REDUCTION OF THE SELLING PRICE IN THE FORM OF A FINANCIAL COMPENSATION CONCERNING CERTAIN PETROLEUM PRODUCTS In accordance with the law of 26 October 2022, the reduction in the selling price for heating gasoil is increased to 15 cpl/TTC and the selling price for liquefied petroleum gas used as heating fuel is reduced by 20 cts/kg TTC for the period from 31 October 2022 to 31 December 2023.

- EXTENSION OF THE TEMPORARY REDUCTION OF THE AUTONOMOUS EXCISE DUTIES ON GASOLINE AND DIESEL USED AS FUEL UNTIL 31 AUGUST 2022 On22 July 2022, the Council of Government approved the extension of the temporary reduction in the selling price of 7.5cts/l TTC for gasoline and diesel used as fuel until the end of August 2022. This temporary measure is included in the corresponding Grand-Ducal regulation amending the amended Grand-Ducal regulation of 17 December 2010 fixing the rates applicable to autonomous excise duties on energy products and will end on 31 August 2022.
- Reduction of the sale price in the form of financial compensation for certain petroleum products The Parliament adopted on 28 April 2022 the bill allowing the temporary reduction of the selling price of 7.5 euro cents per liter for "gasoil used for heating", gasoil used for agricultural or horticultural work , in fish farming and forestry as well as gasoil for industrial and commercial uses. The reduction is applied directly by economic operators and will be compensated by the State. The price reduction on gasoil used for agricultural and horticultural work, and for industrial gasoil will be applicable until 31 July 2022. As for the sale price of "heating gasoil", the reduction will be applicable until 31 December 2022. More information on www.subvention-mazout.lu.
- TEMPORARY REDUCTION OF EXCISE DUTIES ON GASOLINE AND DIESEL USED AS FUEL - APRIL 2022 Established by the Grand-Ducal regulation of 8 April 2022, the temporary reduction in autonomous excise duties on gasoline and diesel used as motor fuel is applicable from 13 April 2022 and remains in force until 31 July 2022. Thus, the consumer prices of on-road diesel and unleaded petrol will drop by 7.5 cts/l TTC over this period and the price drop will be reflected directly in the prices displayed at the pump.
